The Bible tells us so many stories about Jesus, the Lord, healing people from their illnesses, possessions, and sins.
Here are some of them:
In the gospel of Mark (1), Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit out of a man’s body. He said, “Be quiet, and come out of Him!”. And the man was freed from evil.
Jesus visited the house of Simon whose wife’s mother is sick. The Lord took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them. (Mark 1:31)
On that evening, all the sick and demon-possessed were brought to Him, and they were all healed by Jesus. (Mark 1:32)
The next day, while Jesus was preaching in the synagogue, a leper came up to Him and said, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Jesus was moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and said to Him, “I am willing; be cleansed”. (Mark 1:40)
In Capernaum, a paralytic being carried by four men was brought to Jesus. There were so many people in the place where Jesus is; they couldn’t get near Him. The men uncovered the roof so they can get in. Jesus saw their faith, and He healed the paralytic. He said, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.” (Mark 2:3)
My friends, these are just some of the many stories of healing that us, Christians, can find in the Holy Bible. Everything that is written in it is true for they were from the Father, from our Lord Jesus Christ.
If you are suffering from an illness, anxiety or depression, or anything that does not make you feel well and at peace, I pray that you find comfort and hope in the very words of our Saviour. Believe that He can make you well; He can make you new.
Ask Him. Call upon His name. Come near Him and He will draw near you. (James 4:8)
Healing starts with the belief that we will, indeed, be healed by the Father who makes all things possible. (Matthew 19:26)
Let us all continue praying for each other for this is the real meaning of fellowship in the name of Jesus. Keep hoping. Keep the faith. You will be healed. Our God is faithful, remember that.
